Full Vision Arts Foundation is an innovative, multi-disciplinary arts training, performance and production institution in the business of expanding the horizons of young people, changing their lives trajectories and positively impacting the communities in which they live. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, FVAF leverages relationships with world-class artists, entertainers and arts educators, along with leading behind-the-scenes industry professionals to engage young people and guide them toward viable career pathways in the arts.
Our mission is to engage young people and empower them to reach their full potential via the creation, production and performance of artistic works and by developing artists that reflect the cultural diversity of our community. FVAF endeavors to expose young people to career options in the arts by immersing them in real-life arts and entertainment productions. Through our work, we aim to cultivate understanding between and respect for the wide spectrum of peoples inhabiting our society.
FVAF was founded in 2007 in Oakland, California by veteran arts and entertainment professionals Tony & Rhonda Spires. The response from teens and their families and the impact of our Summer Youth Arts Immersion and After School programs were remarkable. After several highly successful years of engaging and impacting young lives in the Bay Area and launching many new careers in the arts, we expanded our programming into Southern California in 2012. Today we’re connecting more young people to arts education, job training, mentorship and tangible career options in the arts than ever before - from the Bay to LA and beyond.
